The School of Business at the University of the Fraser Valley develops individuals to achieve leadership, management, global citizenship, and employability potential through business-relevant, research-informed education. The School has been offering degree, diploma, and/or certificate programs since 1974, and our Bachelor of Business Administration program is accredited by both AACSB and EFMD.

The School invites applications for a permanent, tenure-track faculty position in Marketing. In addition to Introductory Marketing, we are looking for someone to teach lower and upper-level courses in a variety of quantitative business courses such as Statistics, Business Research Methods, and Data Analytics.

Applicants must have very good communication and teaching skills; a demonstrated excellence in teaching at the undergraduate level; and demonstrable ability to develop experiential and applied research opportunities for students.  An ability to teach across traditional disciplinary boundaries or deliver courses in community settings would be an asset.

The successful applicant must be able to incorporate or reflect Indigenous perspectives or ways of teaching and learning into their curriculum.

Experience and interest in developing experiential learning opportunities, including practicums, study abroad and co-curricular activities is highly desirable. Demonstrable experience in technology-supported teaching (e.g. hybrid, on-line, experiential, and computer-assisted learning) would be an asset. The successful candidate will show aptitude for working in team situations.

Applicants should have a solid record of research productivity commensurate with their experience; demonstrated ability to establish a successful research program; and an ability to incorporate their research into applied learning opportunities for students.

The successful applicant will be expected to actively participate in departmental activities, service, events, and initiatives.  A commitment to an ongoing program of professional development is required.

We seek applicants who are able to interact effectively with UFV’s Math and Economics departments


The successful candidate must have a PhD or DBA in Marketing or a related field with particular experience in the quantitative side of Marketing.  (Solid indication of imminent completion is also acceptable.) 
Relevant post-doctoral or industrial experience is highly desirable.  Preference will be given to candidates with teaching, practical experience and/or research in areas such as statistics, business research methods, and data analytics.
