The Dean Law Firm, PLLC is a Sugar Land boutique firm focused on practicing estate planning, asset protection, probate, guardianship, and elder law. Our mission is to provide excellent legal work in the context of a caring environment. We are seeking an associate attorney with three to five years of experience in the areas of estate planning and probate. Experience in guardianship, elder law, and business incorporation is a plus. The ideal candidate will be a team-player who is motivated by helping others, who values excellence in their work and pays close attention to detail, is a self-starter, has excellent grammar and communication skills, and is a person of high integrity and character. 

Estate planning responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Preparing wills, trusts, and other estate planning documents.
• Design comprehensive, custom Estate Plans. 
• Advise clients on asset protection strategies.
• Conduct thorough research and analysis of estate planning issues.
• Manage all aspects of a client's matter from engagement to close. 

Primary responsibilities will include handling estate planning and probate cases, mostly uncontested. Other responsibilities will also include assisting on trust administration, guardianship, elder law, and business incorporation matters.   

Requirements

• Attorney Licensed in Texas and in good standing with the Texas State Bar.
• 3+ years of practice in estate planning and probate.
• Experience in guardianship, elder law, and/or business incorporation is a plus.
• Experience with high-net-worth clients is a HUGE plus.
• Billable hour requirement of 140 hours a month (does not include firm administration, continuing education or other education, business development, marketing, and other non-billable time).
• Assist on managing attorney cases as well as handling your own.
• Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
• Must have excellent communication skills.
• Must dress in business/professional attire every day.
• Attend occasional client/networking events after hours or on weekends.
• This position is NOT REMOTE.
