The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Rochester Medical Center is looking for a full-time BC psychiatrist to lead its growing and energetic Psychiatric inpatient Consultation Liaison Service (PCLS) team at Strong memorial Hospital. This is a leadership role which includes clinical time on the CL service as well as 20% FTE of protected time serving as medical director of the inpatient CL service. Other inpatient or outpatient responsibilities may be negotiated with the candidate at the time of hiring. Requirements

This full-time position includes an academic appointment with University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry at the rank of Assistant Professor or above, commensurate with experience and accomplishments, and ample opportunities for faculty development within a robust tradition of mentorship.  The successful candidate will be board certified in general psychiatry as well as consultation psychiatry/psychosomatic medicine and will have demonstrated leadership skills. Teaching and clinical supervision of psychiatric residents, fellows, medical students, and other trainees is an integral part of this position.  The CL service at Strong Memorial Hospital consists of an interdisciplinary team of clinicians including several psychiatrists, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners, and a Social Worker. We offer both traditional as well as proactive CL services. As part of the leadership team for the Division of Collaborative Care & Wellness in Psychiatry, the medical director of PCLS will work with others to ensure the quality of the care delivered, growth, and sustainability of the service.
