Description
The University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy (USC COP) is currently seeking ambitious individuals for two full-time, 12-month faculty appointments in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Outcomes Sciences (CPOS). These professional (non-tenure) track positions are at the level of Clinical Assistant or Clinical Associate Professor and in the areas of: 1) mental health with a focus in acute care medicine and 2) inpatient acute care medicine (including but not limited to emergency medicine, critical care, acute care).
Requirements
Responsibilities include didactic and clinical experiential teaching of Doctor of Pharmacy students and residents, research and scholarly activity, university and college service, and provision of a clinical pharmacy service at Prisma Health. Applicants’ professional goals should be consistent with the vision of the college of pharmacy to empower students, researchers, educators, and partners to transform healthcare through comprehensive pharmacy education, scholarly excellence, strategic collaborations, and entrepreneurial advancements, thereby enriching local, national, and global communities.
Applicants for the position should possess a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited College/School of Pharmacy, have completed residency and / or fellowship training or equivalent experience, and be board certified or eligible. Candidates should have excellent written and verbal communication skills and must be eligible for pharmacy licensure in South Carolina.
