Description
The School of Computing at Clemson University invites applicants for a non-tenure-track position beginning August 2022 at the level of Professor of Practice. Responsibilities will include teaching (primarily for undergraduate classes), participation in departmental and university committees, and other typical faculty responsibilities, as well as being involved in recruitment and liaison with industry. The potential exists to supervise a senior design course and/or teach an occasional upper-level course in the applicant's area of expertise.
Clemson has continued to grow and increase student enrollment through the global pandemic. The School of Computing has 38 tenured/tenure-track faculty members, twelve full-time non-tenure track faculty, more than 1,000 undergraduate majors, and over 260 graduate students. The School offers twelve degrees at the Baccalaureate, Master's, and Doctorate levels in Computer Science, Human-Centered Computing, Digital Production Arts, Biomedical Data Sciences and Informatics, and an interdisciplinary master's program in Systems Engineering. Qualifications
Successful candidates will have earned a graduate degree in computer science or related discipline by the start date. A record of successful teaching experience is preferred.
